New year, new you, and most importantly, NEW HAIR!!!
If you’re reading this, you’re probably ready to make a pretty big change and we couldn’t be more excited for you! If you’re looking to do a big chop, bold colour, or simply enhance what you’ve got to the nth degree, we absolutely have you covered.
So without further ado, here are some of the biggest hair trends we predict we’ll see in 2024.
The Return Of Natural Colours
We had a few good years of pastel pinks, neon oranges, and everything in between, but we’re seeing a return to more natural hair colour in 2024. This is likely a run-off from the “stealth wealth” and “quiet luxury” fashion trends and the result is very much the same; understated, but teeming with poise, grace, and power! You could of course just grow out your roots completely, but the strength of this trend lies in its subtly; you’re going to want to ask your hair stylist for a subtle, strategic balayage, likely with warmer tones to enhance your natural hair colour or go for a new colour altogether–hey, no one said it had to be your natural hair colour.
Side-Swept Bangs
They’re back! After a short hibernation following a stint of Millennial bullying, side-swept bangs are back and better than ever! These aren’t quite how you used to style your bangs back in the early 2000s, so you’re going to want to ask our team for your bangs to be cut blunt straight across, and left a little longer (no worries, our stylists are happy to help iron out the details). Longer bangs will give you more styling options, so you won’t have to commit to a side-swept look every single day.
Shaggy Hair
Shaggy, mod-inspired, razor-cut hair with hints of mullets are showing up on runways all over the world. This look is great for anyone with wavy or curly hair, particularly those who want to stand out in the crowd. This new wave of shaggy looks can be adapted to any length, from long flowing locks to short bobs. If you’re thinking of trying the latter, be sure to ask that your hair is finished with a razor to give it that short texture look with a little extra edge.
Sleek and Slick
On the flip side of shaggy hair is a sleek, slicked-back look, perfect for minimalists, or those looking for a low-effort high-impact new look. This look is about the cut, but also the styling products you use, which could include either gels, pomades, or hair oils. Our team would be happy to walk you through the pros and cons of each during your appointment or consultation.
Speaking of which, the best way to find the hair stylist and hairstyle that’s right for your new look is to give us a call!
